Click Double your traffic. Try Vendio Gallery Risk FREE! VINTAGE ANTIQUE COLLINS MILITARY BOLO MACHETE KNIFE WITH ORIGINAL SHEATH is a WWI Collins bolo with its original scabbard. It measures 20" overall with a blade length of just under 15". The blade is of massively thick construction and is a monster. The handles are made of hardwood, maybe ebony and are in good shape with no cracks. The scabbard is leather with brass reinforcements and is in excellent shape with all stitching and rivets intact and no condition issues to the leather. It has wonderful design patterning. The blade is full and maintains its original profile, but some previous owner took a grinder to it and t are numerous 'skate marks' on the sides. On the positive side these are not too deep and could probably be removed without too much difficulty. The edge is not sharp. But just brandishing this would scare away anybody! I've seen these at gun shows and flea markets over the years, but seldom in anyw near as good condition, and almost never with the sheath. For whatever reason, they are getting harder to find. A nice example for your military collection, and still a formidable piece of hardware. No reserve. Thanks for looking, and please check out my other knife auctions. THE FINE PRINT After payment is made, I will have an e- sent with the USPS delivery information (Delivery Confirmation Number, date of dispatch, etc.) which is separate from the e- Paypal sends. You will receive notice that your item has been posted and then another when delivery is made. If you do not receive the first, please check your spam blocker for messages from The USPS Postal Service. One ebayer apparently did not receive any notice and waited a month before contacting me saying he had not received his item. As it happened, the delivery was made but the item was stolen from his mailbox. If he had realized that he could track the package, he could have followed it and seen that it was on route and then that it had been delivered. In addition, he did not have insurance on the item. Insured packages most often require a signature and that is added protection for safe delivery. I usually have insurance as an option but if the item is of value, I strongly recommend it. I will not be responsible once the item is posted for loss or breakage in transit. I do pack very well but it can be a rough journey to your house. Occasionally, I do require insurance. I am fair with shipping. If it is costly to ship to you, that is USPS or whatever other carrier I use, not me. All this is for US sales only. International shipments are another matter altogether. Foreign bidders : Foreign deliveries have become very problematic and I cannot make any guarantees on safe delivery. International shipping has also become very expensive. I usually ship via USPS Global Priority Mail with no insurance and prefer not to ship to countries that do not accept GPM deliveries. Please e-me first to see if I can ship to you and what the charges will be. I will not ship an item to a country that has restrictions on that item. Check your country's customs regulations. Do not bid automatically and assume I will make it all right. Please be aware that this is a VERY HEAVY item and will cost a lot to ship. In most cases, I will combine shipping charges for multiple auction wins to save you money. I am very fast in getting your items out to you. I know you are eager to receive them. Unless t are extenuating circumstances, they will be on their way to you the next day after payment is received unless that day is Sunday.
