This is for an antique Dough Box in the colonial style of like Thomas Jefferson might have had . It is an original piece that is suppose to be from around 1720 but I'm listing as possibly 1800s because it could be later. I'm not sure. Not knowledgeable on how to restore or familiar with antique furniture. It's pine, brown finish, not sure if redone. Inside of cover and inside box look unfinished. Am selling for my aunt who is 92 and last of eight brothers and sisters. Height is 27 1/2". The cover measures 34 1/2" by 15 1/2". The higher section of box measures 32" by 14" and the lower section 27 1/2" by 10". I try to be honest so here are the flaws as I can best judge. Although sturdy, I guess it could be tightened up. Most of hardware is old slotted screws but there are some wire nails as well. The cover has a split although still together. The leg end shown is the worse of the four legs having some chipping with the other four still fairly smooth. The corner box joints look fine. The underside of cover only has one of two blocks to keep from sliding. Couple drips of cleaner or white paint here and there on inside unfinished area. Overall condition seems very nice for something this old. But again, I am not a knowledgeable evaluator of furniture. I can email a few more pictures on request. Contact me via email if you wish to
