Exquisite Colonial Williamsburg "Duke of Gloucester" dessert or salad plate made in Portugal by Mottahedeh Vista Alegre. Beautiful Rococo pattern adapted from an original made for William Henry, Duke of Gloucester, circa 1770. Features colorful fruit and whimsical insects, fluted edge with 22K gold gilding. In excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or damage. Plate appears to have never been used. Please see photos carefully for details. Measures about 8 1/8" diameter.
