Classic HollywoodMemorabilia from 1930! For sale is an antique golf tournament trophy that was awarded by Columbia Pictures in 1930. This is a great piece for anyone who collects golf or film memorabilia. I have over 1000 vintage trophies and Iâe(tm)ve never seen one that looks like this. I think it may have been made out of some type of movie equipment; possibly an old projector or camera? Columbia Pictures is one of the original movie studios from the Golden Age of Hollywood. Their list of classic films includes: Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, The Caine Mutiny, On the Waterfront, The Bridge on the River Kwai, A Raisin in the Sun, Lawrence of Arabia , Dr. Strangelove, To Sir, with Love, Oliver!, Funny Girl, Easy Rider, The Way We Were, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Tommy, Taxi Driver, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Midnight Express, Kramer vs. Kramer, Stripes, Annie, Tootsie, The Big Chill, Ghostbusters, The Karate Kid, When Harry Met Sally, The Remains of the Day, The Shawshank Redemption, Air Force One, Men in Black, Casino Royale & Quantum of Solace The trophy has a lot of plate loss and many dings and dents (see photos). The base has a slight wobble and it needs a good cleaning/polish. International S. Co. 378 48oz Patented Jan. 11. 1927 Condition: The trophy has a lot of plate loss and many dings and dents (see photos). Keep in mind my items are antiques; the majority of which are over 100 years old. As a result, they frequently have nicks, dings, and scratches.
