Beautiful oil lamp made by the Sandwich Glass Company. The Mary Gregory diaries revealed that Mary Gregory and her sister Emma who worked for the Boston & Sandwich Company during the early 1880s spent much of their time painting brown-toned winter scenes on opaque white glass. is a fine example of her work on this beautiful lamp. The scene goes all around the lamp. The font is acid etched wonderful motif. You can find a similar lamp in the book, Oil Lamps 3 by Catherine Thuro page 149. 11 1/2" tall from base to top of collar.
