Superb Antique Confectioners' Mould. Excellent quality pewter mould, with hinged two part construction & good crisp interior, for creations in marzipan or fondant icing. (please see pics.) This particular mould is for a bunch of cherries, with one side of the mould forming the fruit & the other forming the stalks & foliage. (please see pics.) It was common for country houses to create phenominal displays to impress their guests. I believe that this & the others that we have listed, would be used in creating a grand display of fruit & vegetables in marzipan. Two cast lug handles to open the mould. 3 inches wide (8cm wide ) ANTIQUE & USED CONDITION Totally original & fresh to the market. Excellent quality construction, with superb & crisp definition to the mould interior. A working antique,used & pre-owned, so some light signs of age & use,as you would expect, with some visible light marks etc. to the finish in parts through age & use. (please see pics.)
