Antique Convex Frame EDELWEISS under glass WW2 era ? This is a very nice burled wood frame with convex glass over a bouquet of edelweiss, which appears to have been dried and pressed behind the glass. T are 14 flowers and an abundance of greenery at the base and stems of this to make a beautiful and pleasing display. The larger flowers are 3-4" across and the smaller ones are closer to 2" across and they are set upon red fabric (felt, I believe), which offset the flowers nicely. Frame itself is also rather nice and the whole piece is almost 23" tall x 15" wide. Also showing back of this, which may have been updated at a later date, as I see taping. Edelweiss was symbolic during WW2 and I often see the lockets, but never see a nice framed display as this. You will get an email from auctiva at end of auction with all instructions.
