Offered for sale is an antique copper and brass water kettle. Copper body with brass spout, handle, finial and banding. T is a seam that runs up the piece above and below the spout. Two rows of impressed foliate design on the shoulder and the body running around the entire piece. Measures: 13 3/4" high x 14" long. Diameter of base is 7 3/4". The piece does flare outward from the bottom.. I found no makers marks on this piece, it came in a big copper collection of kettles. The others were old English kettles, but this one has the appearance of the Middle East, maybe Turkey or Persian. Condition: Well used, the lid fits snugly, but is a little uneven. T are all over dings and scratches, which add to the character and charm of the piece, the pictures are a fine representation of its condition, which I would call very good.
