Up for your consideration,

ANTIQUE COPPER FIRE TEA POT HAND-MADE UNIQUE TIBETAN NR

Up for bid is an antique Tibetan copper pot. This unique and beautiful item is fully hand-made, with intricate detail and craftsmanship. This comes from a deceased client's estate, she traveled through Asia quite extensively in the 1950's and collected many items to bring home. She had a paper in this item noting that she got it in Tibet, and that it was given to her "right off the fire pit".

The main lid has a small hinged lid on the top. The spout looked to have a hinged cover at one point that is missing. The inside has a round cylinder that holds the water on the outside I assume, the inside of the cylinder goes all the way through to the bottom with a grate in between (for coals?).

The detail of the carvings is extremely well done. The main body looks to be solid copper, the very bottom flat piece is metal (magnetic). It has some dents, dings, and oxidation (see pictures). Measures about 12" tall.
