I purchased this old great old copper funnel at an antique store in Pennsylvania many years ago. My entire kitchen is all French copper, and I used to buy anything that was old and was made of copper to mix within my collection. I have some huge apple butter pots, etc,. and I just thought this was an interesting piece to add to a kitchen collection full of copper. The man I purchased it from said it was part of an old still. Now I don't know anything about stills, or "makin' moonshine" but I thought it was a neat old piece of Americana that would look great in my kitchen, ~and it did. It stands about 13 inches tall, and the diameter across the top measures almost 15 inches. You can tell it is handmade from the primitive nature of it, and I hope someone will enjoy it as much as I have. Will ship within the continental US for 12 dollars insured.
