A wonderful old (circa late 1800's) copper-plated cast iron dog nutcracker. This nutcracker is in excellent condition and is NOT a reproduction! Cast shape of the dog resembles a labrador retriever. He measures approx. 11-1/4 inches long from the tip of his tail to the tip of nose, 4-1/2 inches high and 2 inches wide ( from outside measurements of his paws). T is some wear to his copper-plating...but, minima.... and he has a great patina! It appears t are some ( patent?) numbers under his tail, but they are illegible to these eyes of mine! He weighs a hefty 4 pounds and is ready, willing and able ( like any true labrador!) to crack that walnut for you! I combine items to help fray the cost of shipping.
