Very interesting Copper SteamerProbably used for Steamed Holiday Puddings and a very generous size of 16" Handle to Handle x 8 1/4" wide x c. 10" HighWhen I bought this in an Antique store in Conn. the owner thought it might be Swedish, but was certain it was from an Estatenearby that was almost entirely European Artifacts and Furnishings.It looks very distinctive hanging from a pot hanger and is quite the conversation piece,when hanging one can see the beautiful star on the bottom.I have not cleaned it, that I leave to the new ownerIt's condition is very good I would think for it's age: It is quite heavy, has a tight fitting lid, and all the handles areriveted on nice and tight.
