Here's a beautiful, antique, wooden butter churn in excellent, well-preserved condition. It's made of pine staves with 4 metal bands and has a charming piggin handle at the top. It stands about 26 inches high including the dasher and 22 1/2 inches tall without it. This churn is graduated in shape, fatter at the bottom than it is at the top. It's not perfectly round but the bottom diameter is about 7 1/2 inches and the top measures 5 3/4" across. Its surface shows wear and is beautifully aged with a nice, old patina that's smooth to the touch. It also has rich, warm coloring and nice, visible graining. Dating back to the late 19th Century to possibly the very early 20th Century, this churn is rugged and well-preserved. It's also free of dry rot and bad smells. Structurally sound, it won't fall apart on you. The bottom is rock solid too. It has a great, country appearance that makes it an outstanding item to decorate your kitchen. It would also look nice on a fireplace hearth or even as restaurant decor! Use it to hold walking sticks and canes or even churn yourself some homemade butter! Guaranteed old and authentic, you won't be disappointed in this beauty! The winner adds postage. No Reserve!
