's one of the nicest items we have found lately, a primitive, country sled with original, old yellow paint! Hidden away in an old barn for decades, this very charming item is just as we found it with one exception: we tied on a new rope in the front. The patina of the wood in fabulous...all original, weatd and worn! The runners are thick, forged iron over wood and t are hammered iron braces on the underside of the sled as part of its original construction. Durable wood joints have helped keep this sleigh together for well over a century. Along with some old, improvised repairs along the line, this sled is well preserved. It measures 36 inches long, 16 inches high and 16 inches thick. Imagine how nice this would look on display next to your front door, near the fireplace, on the front porch, or anyw you put it! Certainly a one-of-a-kind country antique! The winning bidder adds postage based on zip code and weight (19 pounds). No handling fees.
