Antique Covered Hen Dish. 7" Wide x 6.5" Tall. Bought at a street market in Jakarta in the 1970's. Thisitem is part of a collection amassed by my mother, Elizabeth, andgrandmother, Lucy, over the span of 70 years. Elizabeth inherited her eye for quality and value from Lucy who, in turn, learned from my great-grandmother. It must be in our DNA. The antiques were purchased in the U.S., Asia, the Middle East, and Europe in the years before and after WWII. Having lived all over the world, and now 85, Elizabeth has closed her antique business but continues to research and study Chinese antiques. Her passion for beautiful objects persists even though she doesn't travel as much. May you enjoy discovering and owning this item as much as she did. Thank you for looking.
