Stunning antique Victorian style crystal and glass ceiling light fixture. This shade is very heavy. It is painted an ivory or custard color. This four light fixture has been rewired with original sockets, and comes with the hardware needed to hang it. The glass shade and all the parts are in excellent condition. The heavy pressed glass shade is painted with a clear scalloped design glass rim and center. It has a clear rising wheat type pattern around the body of the shade. The designs pressed into the glass are raised to the outside. The shade center is clear glass with a beaded design. What is really unique to the light is the purple milky amethyst glass peice on the upper stem. A beautiful antique crystal glass ball finial is attached beneath the shade with a glass beaded washer. This light is marked Appleman Art Glass Works North Hackensack N. J.. This is a four standard bulb fixture. I am using 2 clear and two frosted standard base flame type 40watt bulbs. The light would hang down from the ceiling about 24 inches. It can be shortened to around 20 if you wanted. The shade measures 14 1/2 inches across and is 3 inches deep. The crystal cut glass stem and it's parts are 10 inches. The glass shade gives off a very inviting warm glow. This light would look great in any restored Deco period or Victorian home.
