ANTIQUE PAIR OF CRYSTAL LEAD LAMPS - - - I purchased these beautiful lamps from an Estate Sale to place in my new home. Now they do not go with the decor, sadly to say. I did receive a little history when I purchased them. 1st they belonged to great grandparents the seller stated she could trace them back in pictures to 1914. ( I am not sure of the truth)? I know nothing about antiques. T were dealers t who offered me a generous price, but I really wanted them for my formal dinning area. 2nd I was told the red glass is Cranberry Glass, when these are lit the are absolutely gorgeous. Each lamp weighs 3.5 pounds. They are 17" tall. On the bottom of both bases t is a cut in the crystal glass which to cord fits into (like a groove). From what I have been told that has some meaning of authenticity. These pictures DO NOT give justice to the beauty of these lamps. I wish I had more knowledge of antiques but the beauty alone is worth the starting price. Happy Bidding... I have changed the picture to show better how beautiful these lamps are!!!!
