Deco era Crystal Humidor owned by Irving Mills, a gift from his wife. Irving Mills worked with and produced Jazz and Big Band Era greats like Ella Fitzgerald, Cab Calloway, Duke Ellington and most notably Count Basie. He also was a friend and co producer with Benny Goodman, Irving Berlin and a host of other early names in the music industry. This piece has his name signed into the top, it is solid crystal with a sterling silver top. Possibly from Tiffany or another jeweler. That is just an estimate, we are unsure of if this is a Tiffany piece or not...but still very beautiful! I purchased this from the estate of Irving Mills years ago. I did not polish the lid because I like the vintage tarnish look, but as you can see in the photo the interior is shiny and elegant.
Reserve is set at $100, which is a fraction of its value. A must for any Jazz collector! !!
