An antique, cuckoo clock, from the early 1900’s. It has beautiful handmade carvings, very detailed in an amazingly rich ebony color beauty. This clock is in great condition and this particular theme is quite rare. The face trim is decorated with 3 large oak leafs and branches. The top crest, follows the same motif with oak leafs and braches. At the center of the crest there a large bird, seems like an eagle, with open wings. The carving work in this clock is quite detailed and the bird is in a such noble pose !. The dial in black/brown color has a diameter of 12 cm. The movement is the “Straight bar" type and it was in use from 1865 to the early 1900's . The movement has been serviced and it is in good running condition. The clock will strike and cuckoo every thirty minutes and at the hour. The sound of the gong is full and the cuckoo bird with come out of perch, bow, and it sounds well. The clock size is: 20"L - 184" W - 7" D The clock comes sold with back door, pendulum and 2 weights It is a great joy to have a cuckoo clock for its beauty and sound but having a rare motif add more joy to your home.
