Hard to find oak roll top desk in the original finish with an era appropriate desk chair. Chair has leather back and front but the seat has been replaced. It is very sturdy and comfortable. The dek has been enjoyed well as can be seen from the many scratches and ink stains but it's just too nice to refinish. Mainly needs a good bath. Has pull out writing tabs on both sides above the top drawers. Handle is missing from the right top drawer, the desk top has some wear as shown along with ink stains and stuck paper labels from years of use. And the left drawer set has a repaired crack in the right front upright. Nice old desk, finished front and back - not like the pressed wood stuff that passes for furniture these days. Tambour door is in good shape, goes up and down and is in good condition. No key. Brass name plate says B&G Furniture patented 1893. I tried to show the worst spots so there will be no surprises. Last picture shows the ears to attach the top and you can see how the base comes apart for easy transportation. Check all the pictures and ask if you want to see more. Refinish to make it a $1500 desk or use as is. You will not find a better value on eBay today.
