up for auction is this fine mission style display case from very early in the 1900's. it was said to have been from a larger jewelry display counter from carson pierre, scott in chicago.we bought it from a old car dealership in chicago, tehy were using it for a parts display. we had it completely refinished and all new safety glass put in it, including beveled glass for the top. we used it as a counter in our restaurant for a couple of years and then decided to replace it with a refrigerated case. t are no cracks or chips in the glass and the case is very well. the round piece of glass for the curved end was over $400 itself. the original lights to light the case still work, conveying more of the "old time" merchandising appeal. t are two sliding doors on the rear and one hinged door. we did not replace the glass in these as they were not going to be used on the customer side of the case. extra storage areas are available under the main display area. t is room and peg holes for an additional shelf for the main display area, but we never had a need for one. we can crate and ship the case anyw if the buyer wants to pay the cost. dimensions of the case are: 57L x 40T x 24D over $1200 invested in this dandy piece of amercian history. please call with questions: shipping quotes can be attained @
