You are bidding on an antique / vintage cut glass Victorian crystal knife rest that was in my Mother-in-Law's estate. This knife rest was handed down for at least three generations and was used for holiday meals to rest the knife and fork on the carving table. It is approximately 4-½ inches long overall and the "stars" on the ends are about 1-½ inches across from point to point. The elaborately cut shaft is approximately ½ inch in diameter. This knife rest is in nice condition also with a few very tiny chips from use, most of which are on the points of the "stars". Nevertheless, it still looks wonderful and reflects the light like nothing made today. I am including a lot of close-up photos for your determination. And with my low starting bid and no reserve, this beautiful knife rest would be a wonderful addition to anyone's Victorian table setting.
