Potter County, PA. Dairy Farm Estate Cream Pail measures 6 7/8 inches in diameter by 10 3/4 inches tall, to the top of its lid. Weight is 2 pounds 3 ounces. Holds just over 4 quarts. This is an early spun metal can with soldered seams, riveted cover handle and riveted carrying handle ears. Embossed lettering on side of can reads "LIQ 4 Qt.Condition : Its steel surface was originally tinned to prevent rust. The tinning shows heavy wear from use and there are minor dings. There is a pin-hole on the bottom and very light spots of rust on the bottom and inside. The lid is easily removed and holds firmly. The wire bail handle is in good original form. This hard to find collectable has been well cared for and makes an impressive display.
