For sale an antique Grandfather clock. This has sat in my hallway for years but its time to go. Very attractive grand case which i think is pine or simular. There has been some repairs to the case in the past. Part of the backboard has been replaced as has the plinth around the bottom of the clock. There are also minor repairs/wear around the case (please refer to the pictures)and the door lock will not work but considering its age nothing of note and adds to its attraction. The clock has an 8 day striking on a bell movement which is complete but i have not run it for years as my wife does not like the ticking of a clock. I have tried it prior to sale and note that the minute hand is not moving with the passing of time on the dial/movement (works fine causing the bell to strike and can push it round with your finger but not by the ticking of the clock) . This may be something or nothing i dont know as its beyond my knowledge as such i am selling the clock as not working repair/restoration only . Complete with original weights, pendulum and cranked winding key. Overall height to top of eagle 89 1/2 inches.I paid £800 for this when i bought it. THIS IS COLLECTION ONLY PLEASE.
