we have to offer you a lovely old antique carved ivory ring ( pre-ban), with a black onyx cabochon set in 14 karat yellow gold. The ring is domed style, and is in very good vintage condition. The black onyx stone is 3/16" across, and the gold setting is 1/4" in diameter. It extends to the underside of the top, w it is marked '14k 585'...'585' is the European connotation for 14 karat gold. The top of the ring is 1/2" wide, north-to-south, and 5/16" high. T is a deep carved ridge on either side of the stone, for dramatic impact, and it looks very Deco. The shanks taper from 1/2" to 1/8" in back, for comfort. The ring is also 2 mm thick in the back part, so wear is minimal, and the ring should last for another 100 years plus. T is a very tiny hairline on top, in the middle, but it is not deep, and does not go all the way through. The ring weighs 3.4 grams. Inside diameter is 5/8". The ivory is acquiring a nice soft look and feel, and is very pleasing to the eye and touch. Thank you for your interest! :)
