's a fabulous, "Antique Art Deco Ashtray Smoking Stand, which I believe was made by the Scroll Art Mfg. Co., of Bridgeport, Conn". This stand features the full figure of a dragon overlooking the removable ashtray cup or barrel. T is a spot in the front w the matchbox would go exposing the striker. The base of the stand has a raised Arts & Crafts style design and is mounted atop a ring of metal for stability, then attached to the center, 6 sided pole. The 5" bucket pops in and out, for easy emptying. The piece is a bronze cast metal and measures about 29.5" tall. The tray is 8" in diameter, with a raised design around the perimeter. It appears to be all original but may be missing the swinging tray. Actually, without the dish and just with the iron barrel, it appears to have a more masculine, raw appeal. What an incredible piece that would complement any setting or decor. It can accomodate cigarettes, cigars or whatever! Your friends will definitely be 'wowed' when the flick their ashes. His neck appears to have a spot that may have been welded, but is strong as can be and t is some light corrosion on the circular base. Buyer pays S. H. & Ins.
