You are bidding on an original antique Denzel carousel mirror. This mirror came from the Great Escape carousel at Lake George, NY. It is in park paint and is circa 1920. This is truly a designer piece and would look fantastic in a bathroom, restaurant, or displayed behind a carousel horse!! The piece is large, measuring 50 inches high and 33 inches wide. I estimate it weights about 50 pounds. All the trim is carved wood, not the molded plaster sometimes found on carousel items. The mirror itself shows its age and can be easily replaced if one wanted. The carving is impressive and thick, measuring 1 3/4 inches in places. One small piece of the trim is missing (see picture), but it looks as if it would not be too hard to replace. This is a rare find. Think of all the joy and laughing faces that this mirror has seen in its past!! It is a stunning decorative piece of carousel history. Due to the size and weight, shipping through DHL is estimated at $165. Pick-up is also an option, or buyer can arrange his own shipping. Please ask questions before bidding.
