ANTIQUE SILVER PLATE CARD TRAY This is a stunning silver plate card tray made by Derby Silver Co. in the late 1800's. It is in overall good condition (missing figure that I would believe to be an owl on the top branch, and the top tray has a wave to it but I believe it was made that way). It measures 6 3/8" tall x 8 5/8" wide tray x 5 3/8" deep tray and weighs 1 1/2 lbs. T is a figural butterfly sitting on the bottom branch. On top of the tray is an amazing gold washed pattern with the words "Should Owl's Acquaintance Be Forgot" and the music bar that I believe is to the New Year's Eve song "Auld Lang Syne". It is marked on the bottom "Derby Silver Co. Derby Ct (hallmark) Quadruple Plate 3522 Pat Feb 28, 82". The detailing on this entire piece is truly beautiful and would make for a wonderful display piece! Great addition to the antique silver plate collector! If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
