Item: ANTIQUE TIN DIETZ LANTERN AND KEROSENE FILLER JUG. SELLING TWO PIECES FOR ONE MONEY AT ABSOLUTE NO RESERVE AUCTION ! Features: The lantern height is 18 1/2 inches to the top of the handle. The width at the widest point is 7 1/2 inches. The diameter of the base is 5 7/8 inches. The kerosene filler jug is 10 1/2 inches to the top of the handle. The width at the widest point is 10 inches. The diameter of the base is 5 inches. The weight is 4 pounds. The size and weight are approximate. The age is circa 1900/1915. Both are made of sheet tin. The center top tube of the lantern is stamped with 6 patent dates that run from JULY 11 99 thru S-9-22. The lantern is stamped DIETZ MONARCH NEW YORK U.S.A. The globe is embossed Paul S Leader. The wick turner and filler cap turn freely. The kerosene filler jug cap turns freely. The jug is unsigned but retains remnants of what appears to be an original tag.
