Antique Dollhouse French German Pink Silk Parlor Suite The toys we're listing this week are part of a large collection of unique estate items that are from a lovely southern lady's home. She recently passed away at the age of 105 and her beautiful home was stuffed to the rafters (quite literally) with charming objects from her life, as well as her sister's, mother's and grandmother's homes! Many of the dolls we're listing belonged to her and her sister when they were both young girls. So, they're fresh out of the attic and ready to be adopted by some caring collectors. We hope that some of her toys will appeal to e-buyers and find new homes across the country.'s a wonderful set of antique dollhouse furniture that was manufactured in either France or Germany. The set was designed in an Eastlake-style in pine wood and has a wonderful look that would look great in any antique dollhouse or in a display of French mignonettes. The largest of the six pieces is the curio cabinet and it measures 6" tall, 3" wide and 1 1/2" deep. It still retains its original old mirror, although the silver is flaking from the backing of the mirror, t are no chips or cracks. This great little piece also has all of its original turned spindles, columns and finials. T are three shelves and a working door with a brass knob on the cabinet. Along the edges of the curio are tiny strips of Dresden paper trim decorated in white and gilt. The parlor table measures 5" wide, 1 3/4" tall and 1 1/2" deep. The pale pine tabletop is supported by a fretwork base which consists of four legs that form a pedestal. It looks French in style. The sofa is upholstered in pink silk and is edged in white and gold Dresden paper trim along the side arms. It measures 3" tall, 4 1/4" wide and 1 3/4" deep. The sofa's pink silk back and seat cushions are padded or stuffed and decorated with white fringe and braid trims. The upholstery on all four upholstered pieces needs a good cleaning (like any furniture stored in the attic for decades), but t are no tears in the fabric. A pair of parlor chairs which each measure 1 3/4" wide, 3" tall and 1 1/4" deep. The chairs have four pine legs and padded back and seat cushions accented with fringe along the seats' edges and below the back cushions. A cute little pink silk ottoman or stuffed footstool accented with fringe around all four sides. It measures 1 1/4" tall and 1 3/4" wide. A pretty 2" flowerpot that matches the trim on the furniture. The pot is painted white with a gilt accent and is filled with pink paper blossoms with yellow stamens. A great pair of brass chargers embossed with a cat in the center of the plate with nine cute mice circling around the border. The chargers are 2" in diameter and could us a little polishing since t is some tarnishing present. Finally, t's the box these little treasures were found in (inside a steamer trunk in the attic). I'm sure this isn't the original box for this parlor set, however, I didn't want to separate them after all these years. The box is covered in pink silk and has a padded lid. T are spots all over the fabric, but it's still nice since it's embroidered with a bluebird and pink and purple petunias surrounding a small pool of water. The same flowers surround all four sides of the box. The padded interior is covered in cream silk and is stained, but it's kept this dollhouse furniture safe for all of these years. The box measures 4" tall, 9 1/2" wide and 8" deep. 's a wonderful little grouping for a discerning collector!
