Rare Antique Double Helix Solid Silver Corkscrew Excellent Condition Solid Silver handled corkscrew with a very interesting double helix, The handle is in good codition but does show some signs of wear and use.The hallmarks have either been rubbed or this piece was made for the American market where quite often items only had the makers mark. The makers mark is partly visable in photo 6. This is a mid sized corkscrew which in a strong hand can be used to open wine but I think it was probably for another application, perfume , medicine or apothecary.The shaft is marked English make steel and is decorated with a brass? or copper? coloured knurled band Length 20.4cm Helix 44mm This unusual item is in very good general condition with both helix being straight and sharp Personal Cheques are accepted from French Buyers Only This item will be sent signed for Any questions are welcome Please take a look at my other interesting corkscrews! and Good Luck
