ANTIQUE DRESDEN GROUP FIGURINE HAND PAINTED SCULPTURE Fresh From a Fabulous South Florida Estate! No Reserve, Ever! Large Antique 19th C Dresden Hand painted Group Figurine Porcelain Sculpture. Highly detailed specimen leaving plenty for the eye. Wonderful depiction of old world style Victorian dressed man and women, in the comforts of their home. Executed in fine porcelain shows a woman, seated in a chair, reading from a book. A finely well groomed tall gentleman leaning against the fireplace mantle, lends an attentive ear to the lady's narrative. Seated across on the other side is another well groomed fair maiden, playing a mandolin, and also appears attentive to the reading. A two toned cat sits dimunitively, tail curled around, on an exotic floral rug. Large urn with lid sits atop the mantle, with matching smaller urns to the side. Undoubtedly, an extravagantly designed masterpiece with an abundance of realistic colors and subject matter. Nicely set on an oval base with continuous circle pattern around. KINDLY NOTE : Even though the piece remains unmarked, based on our experience in the business, we strongly believe this piece as being Dresden. Signed: Unmarked Measures: 9 3/4 " in height, 11 5/8 " across in length. Condition: Good. The piece clearly shows old restorations all throughout. Paint loss also clearly seen. Pictures # 18 - # 37 show clear examples of the restoration, chips, paint loss reflected in this piece. Despite this, the piece does display exceptionally well.
