Bid on and won two clocks at the same time and since I don't need two antique clocks, I'm putting this one back up for sale. This is a beautiful little E.N. Welch steeple clock circa 1870 that has recently had a complete overhaul on it including cleaning, oiling and adjustment to the escapement and timing. It keeps near perfect time. The case is in very good condition with only 3 small veneer chips on the front bottom edge. The hands and pendulum are original. The key is not. It is an 8 day movement and strikes the hour only. No 1/2 hour strike count system. The bottom glass (for the English market) is of the Royal Crest with rearing lion and unicorn on either side of the crown. T is some wear on the lion's body and to the left of the lion's tail. The case measures 19 1/2 " tall X 9 3/4 " wide X 4 " deep.
