Up for auction is a HARD TO FIND piece of late 1800's Adams & Co "Palace" or "Moon & Stars" Glassware. This piece is an Open Compote, What makes it unusual, Is that it appears to be clear, But when you look at it, It is actually a light pink. None of the glass manufactures that made these pieces made a "light pink" piece, So I am not sure if this was pressed and "contaminated" with pink glass, Of if it was a leaded piece, However Adams, L.E. Smith L.G. Wright or Fenton did not produce a leaded or piece that has a pink hue, and the Weishar glass company that is mass producing these piece now, Never made a piece in light pink, And all of their glasswares are signed on the bottoms ( similar to fenton's signatures ) This is an EXTREMELY beautiful antique estate piece, and will be IMPOSSIBLE to find again ! The piece measures aprox 8" tall X 8" in diameter and sits on a 5" base. The last two pictures show the actual coloring well ! No chips, cracks or damage, The home that this came from treasured their heirloom glasswares !
