About 10 1/2" tall to top of silver plated handle. Early American Pattern Glass (EAPG) from the 1870s-1880s. Pressed clear glass insert. Pattern features a stork or heron with a fish in its beak. (no moon). The base rim of the insert has a horizontal repeating "cathedral window" styled pattern encircling it. I've looked in McCain and not found the pattern name... perhaps you know? Jar is 4 1/4" tall; has base OD about 3 3/8", top rim OD 2 7/8". Silver plate top fits right. Glass insert base fits well into frame with 3 1/2" inside diameter. Frame is hallmarked on the base "James W Tufts Boston". There are no tongs, but those can be easily found. All Pickle Castors sold as-is, as found; sorry no returns. (too many folks buying to try to mix & match frames & jars!) All shipments US Postal .
