An old, color-stamped hooked rug pattern on burlap of a cat on a cushion- actual design size is 37" x 18", with a 1 1/2" border for a hem- marked in the border is A. GIBBS MANUF'R- NO. 49- these patterns were popular around 1900 & were usually stencilled- this would look great framed or hooked. Please see two other early, unused hooked-rug patterns I also have listed [a SPANIEL DOG and a DEER made by ROSS & CO.] as well as a 1932 BURNHAM'S HOOKED RUG catalog; always glad to combine postage.
