Nice antique wood (pine) thermometer with brass and glass enclosed mercury bubble. It appears that the mercury is dried up. the temperature stays at 48 degrees, hopefully not for long" tired of the cold weather! The thermometer is embossed with a nice floral crest and the words... " Hygenic Laundry, 830-832 Boston Street, Lynn. This is Lynn Massachusetts. The readings are numbered in black from 20 below tp 120. At different levels it reads.." Zero"...at 40 "freezing...at 60 "temperate"...at 80 "summer heat...at 100 "blood heat". At the bottom of the thermometer it states " Phone 845..Our wet wash and flat work department will take care of your needs". The back is plain and has a clasp for hanging. It is in very good condition with original finish. No cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. Nice collectible. It is 12" x 3" x 1/2". Please ask any questions prior to bidding. Thank you.
