This is a gorgeous etching by E. (Elsie) Eberhardt Haas done in the early 20th century. It is signed and described (in German) by her hand. I have only found two other works by this artist in the Smithsonian collection. The print itself is approx. 7 1/2" x 9 1/2". It is in excellent condition and has a bit of a blue tint. It is framed and matted although the new owner may want to have it backed to maintain its archival integrity. I have tried to get good photos of the etching but none seem to do it justice. It is a really is gorgeous print. If you want to own a very early piece by a great female artist...then this is the one to own. Please let me know if you have any questions. I just want to reiterate that this is a very special piece that belongs in a special home or even gallery. Done by a great female artist when most artists were men. Her etchings are very rare. This etching, signed and described by the artist will only continue to grow in significance and value.
