You are bidding on an Antique Early American Sheraton Dresser Chest of Drawers. This piece is BEAUTIFULLY made of SOLID Black Cherry which is VERY RARE and expensive and beautifully figured with Tiger Maple as you will see below. This piece dates back to the early 19th Century and is from the First Period Circa 1830 American made. It sits on nicely turned and spindle carved legs and columns and it has 4 large drawers which are all doweled and dovetailed together with beautiful brass pull handles that have an embrodiery pattern etched into the brass itself. Each drawer has a hand milled mortise lock with solid brass (no key). The sides have nicely raised panels with hand cut doweled as you can see at the top of the piece and rosehead nails on the sides as shown in the photos. It has an exotic burl crotch wood grain pattern as you can see in the pictures below. This piece was VERY WELL made with quality that surpasses ANYTHING made today and is all wood construction but Please understand that this is antique that is almost 200 years old so it has some minor imperfections on it with its age but overall its in excellent shape. This piece measures approx 45 inches wide, 45 1/4 inches high and approx 21 1/4 inches deep.This is a NO RESERVE auction and since I am assuming all the risk by starting the bidding at $1 dollar you will have to pay for shipping.
