You are bidding on an Early American Antique Federal Giltwood Eagle Carved Wall Mirror. This piece was BEAUTIFULLY made from the Early 19th Century from the First Period and is Circa 1830 American Made. This is a RARE FIND due to its age, size and beauty and one of the oldest and NICESTmirrors I have ever brought to market. The top has a beautifully carved and gilded American Eagle with a beautiful ivory miniature portrait painting of a woman as shown in the photos. The top also has the beautifully swagged ball going down each side being held from the Eagles Beak. It has a beautifully recessed trim work throughout the mirror with beautifully carved bell flower design in great detail that has nice dimension and depth in the carvings. It is beautifully gilded throughout in real gold leaf and very old with floral carved foliage throughout. The mirror itself is believed to be original and is aged as referenced in the photos. This piece was VERY WELL made with quality that surpasses anything made today and is all wood construction but Please understand that this is antique that is almost 200 years old so it has some minor imperfections on it with its age but overall its in excellent shape. It measures approx 15 inches wide, 34 inches high and approx 3 inches deep.
