Wonderful and quite rare piece of 19th century Eastlake Victorian (1870's) gold filled brooch set with a natural ruby red stone. Quite possibly a genuine ruby. This is an amazing piece of Victorian jewelry. On first glance, you cannot see that t is a hinged door that opens and locks shut. When you find it and open the door, the word DEAREST is found inside.
