Antique Ebony Grooming/Dressing Table Set With CaseThis is a very lovely vintage ebony brushes and manicure set. I purchase this vintage manicure set in Great Britain, but I do not know when this dresser set was made but prior owners claim it was made in the early 1920's or 1930s. This is a complete Ebony Dressing Table set with its original case. The case looks like a plain black box but when you open the top you soon realize it is large than it appears. The interior is lined with a light yellow velvet and satin fabric. The case is divided into two levels the top level store a hand mirror in the inner lid, hair brush, clothing/shoe brush and a shoe horn tare all marked with "Ebony or Real Ebony". The brushes and shoe horn are shadowed by built-in cardboard molds. The mirror is not marked. The second level is reveled when you open the front and see the secret drawer that is decorated in the same manner as the rest of the box. This drawer holds ebony handle button hook, finger nail file, cuticle pusher, cuticle cutter, tweezers, manicure knife, buffer with new pad, emery boards, three angled wooden sticks and a small ebony cylinder that is marked with "Ebony". Each of the tools handles are marked with "Ebony or Real Ebony". After close inspection I have noticed that not all of the tools are original to this set but they all go together
