For your consideration today is this antique Thomas Edison phonograph disc record, reproducer and needle head setup. This is a unit that is marked with the Edison name along with saying it is licensed for use only on Edison phonographs sold by Thomas Edison, Inc. It has a serial number of 48,720 on the top part, the unit appears to be complete, but not totally sure on that, it has also not been tested so will be sold as is for that department. But what we have is something very solid, and still has some needle length yet that might even work! The top frame part is in fine shape structure wise with no cracks or bad spots, t is the normal loss of finish to the chrome luster but nothing real bad, t are a few nicks that are minor, and has a screw at the tip that connects the bottom half fine. The screw is pretty tight so did not attempt to break it loose, but can just lift the two parts away from each other enough to shine a bright light inside, and it reveals a very clean area with a nice cork and gasket. The outlet hole at the top is fine and measures about 9/16", the front w the loop is to help keep the parts combined is fine, the bottom half with the needle setup is very solid with no structure damage, t is some finish wear and loss of chrome but nothing bad, t is still a silk cord for the sound attached to the needle setup and the inside area w the cork lays. T is maybe a bit of wear on the cord, the needle bracket is very solid with a hook to keep the line attached fine, t is just a tiny bit of needle head showing but assume it is worn some so have no idea if it can even play, and the end with the flat spring steel piece is solid with the flat piece being fine, but t is some surface rust t Item measures about 3 3/8" overall in length. Seems to be a pretty sound unit!! This is a very solid and probably complete Edison reproducer that would be a fine one for your phonograph that needs some replacement parts!!
