This # 228HS, as follows: This antique " Edison " home cylinder phonograph is from an estate collection we are presently liquidating . I believe the phonograph itself to be in very good original working condition. The last patent date on the plate reads " 1903 ", the reproducer is a " Model C " with stylus intact, and the serial number reads " H 203332 ". The oak case shows the remnants of an " Edison " decal on the front. The lid snaps on tight and right, the handle will work well to lift the whole case, but I am trying to refrain from that practice. You can see some paint spots and t on the outside of the case that don't belong, but they were deposited t years ago. The 8 panel horn, that measures 19" wide x 25 1/2" long, has it's fair share of dents and dings. It is brass with red and gold paint. I question the paint as original, but this is in found condition. T is a small brass clip still attached and a small 1/2" round hole in the horn itself that appears to have facilitated a metal stand for support. I regret that this hardware is missing except the two small round metal brackets shown. The wind-up handle shown is original to the phonograph is ofcourse included! This auction is a relist, the previously winning bidder would not complete the transaction. Remember folks, I'm not an expert, nor do I claim any expertise on anything, read more
