The wooden NETSUKE have a profound color in the long time using.The stag antler NETSUKE have the strong image and the devised plan for the center hole of stag antler. Some author put the anther stag antler into the hole. Some author use the hole for the design. The explanation of this antique NETSUKE: The design: A rat. The rat gives birth to a lot of children. Tfore, the rat was assumed the symbol of wealth and prosperity. The rat is the first in the twelve Earthly Branches in Japan. The rat appears in Japanese fairy tale a lot.
