Please see additional photographs below item description A fascinating, good quality student's microscope which I think dates to the very early part of the 20th century. The microscope stands 8" (20.5cm) tall. Interestingly, the specimen table moves up and down to focus! It has 3 lenses numbered 1, 2 and 3. It has a single sided concave mirror which is in immaculate condition. There are small foreign bodies in or near the lenses but I am sure these can be removed with a little time and effort.The microscope is finished in lacquered brass. Lacquer coverage is near complete,noting a few rubbed areas here and there. The lacquer on the limb has a brushed brass look that is very appealing. The microscope comes with its own light hardwood case and a drop over hook latches. The case is in very good condition. The whole thing comes complete with original specimen slides and accessories etc. Please be aware I am no Microscope expert and have described the item as accurate as I can.
