SILVER SWAN model 7250 This fan is admired by both novice and serious fan collectors and is the most collectable non brass fan in the fan market. The Swan is all original except for modern electric cord from fan to wall outlet-has original wiring from switch to motor. The fan oscillates and runs perfect and smooth on one speed. This Silver Swan was made in 1937 and was very expensive due to its high quality and unique aluminum blades. The high quality of this fan has definitely stood the test of time. Emerson Electric Company of St. Louis, MO ., U.S.A., 10" Silver Swan Imperial Vintage Desk Pedestal Fan The Emerson Electric Company introduced the Silver Swan at the height of the Depression in 1934. Its creation is an interesting story in itself. Joe Newman, an Emerson board member who was soon to take Emerson's helm, challenged a St.Louis interior designer named Jane Evans with designing a modern desk fan that would depart conventional desk fan design. The result was one of the most beautiful, yet functional fans ever manufactured. The Silver Swan embodies the graceful elegance that its name implies, while its engineering is premium quality Emerson Electric of the 1930s. Emerson described the fan best in period literature. They simply called it "aristocratic". The Silver Swan 10" desk fan features include: Dimensions- 10" Blade Diameter Cast Iron Motor Frame and Base, Stamped Steel Guard Functional Art Deco Design Emerson Bearing Motor Design with single Oil Port .
