Available a very neat old piece. Don't know if was intended to be a motor or generator to be use as a toy or functional piece of equipment. Wheel and base are cast with two copper coils. With power applied the coils would generate a magnetic field and pull the nubs of the flywheel. Reminiscent of the old flywheel engines. Flywheel does spin smoothly. Item is small at 6 1/2 inches in length and 4 1/2 inches in width. Overall height 7 1/4 inches. Piece does have some weight. Sold as is with no guarantees. Shipping listed for US and Canadian bidders. Thanks for looking.UPDATE: Based on the interest in the little guy, I have decided to power it up to demonstrate it will run as a motor.
