You are bidding on an Antique Flame Mahogany Empire Tall Dresser Chest of Drawers. This is a RARE FIND due to its size, age and beauty and dates back to the late 19th Century during the Second Empire Period Circa 1880 and was American made. It sits on beautifully carved Paw feet with scrolling Ancathus leaves carved at the front of each leg. It has 6 beautiful drawers which are all doweled and dovetailed together with rounded pull handles that have brass milled mortise locks. Each side has beautifully tapered and rounded Corinthian shaped columns with floral carved motifs at the top of each column as shown in the photos. It has a beautiful and exotic naturally figured wood grain pattern. This piece was VERY WELL made with quality that surpasses ANYTHING made today and is all wood construction but Please understand that this is an antique so it has some minor imperfections on it with its age and needs touch up work throughout but overall its in excellent shape. This piece measures approx 34 1/4 inches wide, 51 1/4 inches high and approx 21 3/4 inches deep.
