You are bidding on a PAIR of Antique Empire Flame Mahogany Twin Poster Beds. This set is a RARE FIND due to its size, age and beauty and is from the Second Period of the 19th Century and dates back to Circa 1880 American made. Each bed sits on beautiful spindle carved legs with its original wooden wheels. They both have beautifully curved and fluted columns on both the headboard and footboards with nice floral carved finials at the top of each poster. The headboard is nicely curved with pierced splat design. It has nicely reeded trim work throughout and the footboard has a beautifully fluted spindle carved columns going across the top. They have a beautifu and exotic flame swirl crotch mahogany wood grain pattern as shown in the pictures. This set was VERY WELL made with quality that surpasses ANYTHING made today and is all wood construction but Please understand that this an antique that is all original so it has some minor imperfections on it but overall they are in excellent shape. Each bed overall measures approx 43 inches wide and 81 inches long. The headboard is approx 49 1/2 inches high to the top finial and the footboard is approx 42 1/2 inches high to the top finial.This is a NO RESERVE auction and since I am assuming all the risk by starting the bidding at $1 dollar you will have to pay for shipping.
